Establishing Red Ribbon Clubs in colleges will serve many purposes: educating youth and other members in the wider community on sexuality and HIV/AIDS, development of life skills for students involved, and instilling a spirit of compassion towards people living with HIV/AIDS in our country.

Red Ribbon Club organised an intra-collegiate Poem Writing competition entitled “சுகாதாரத் திண்டாட்டமும் நோய்களின் கொண்டாட்டமும் ”on 03.10.2019.
Awareness Programme on “The Enemy" (Dengue)

Red Ribbon Club and the Department of Microbiology were jointly organized as an Awareness Programme on “The Enemy" (Dengue) on 20. 07. 2017 at the Abdul Kalam Arangam.The keynote address regarding the Causative agent of the Dengue fever, manifestation and its control could be elaborated and create the awareness of the dengue fever among the students was done by P.Nallasamy & S. Manju, Faculties of the Microbiology Department.
Red Ribbon Club was organized a programme of voluntary blood donor campaign on 01. 03. 2017, at the Abdul Kalam Arangam. Thiru V.R. Murugan, Treasurer, Bharathidasan Institutions felicitated the programme. Principal address was given by Dr. M. Ramamoorthy, Principal, Bharathidasan College of Arts & Science.
Prabhu MBBS, Block Medical Officer, Chithode as a resource person of this programme and initiated the blood donation from the volunteers and the blood group identification also done among the students.
Red Ribbon Club was indispensably organized a programme of Celebrating Life Skills and a talk on HIV & AIDS on 03. 08. 2016, at the Abdul Kalam Arangam. Principal address was given by Dr. M. Ramamoorthy, Principal, Bharathidasan College of Arts & Science
The core theme of this programme was elucidated by the resource person Mrs. K. Reena, ICTC Counsellor, Government Primary Health Centre, Chithode.
