2023-2024

Department of Information Technology held Association Valedictory and farewell day celebration on 15.04.2024. The Chief guest Dr.T.Rajendran, Head and Assistant Professor, PG and Research Department of Computer Science from Kangeyam delivered valedictory address. He highlighted the techniques and importance of Information Technology’s Current Trends. 

  

The Department has conducted an “INTRADEPARTMENTAL MEET” on 07.03.2024 (Thursday). We have conducted various events like Debugging, Quiz, Paper Presentation, Connection, Mehandi, Rangoli, Shortfilm and Photography. The students have actively participated in various events. It encourages the students and brings out their talents in various fields.

Department of Information Technology has organized extension activity in “STEM PARK, ERODE” on 29.02.2024. In this programme second year students from Department of Information Technology and staff members were participated . It was very  informative and students gained more knowledge about space and science.

Students celebrated Pongal in a traditional way by preparing ‘Pongal’ in mud pot with all religious traits and performed special Pooja.  Traditional games were also conducted to raise the spirit of Pongal celebration.All the boys and girls participated in games and also wear traditional dresses like dhoties and Sarees it depicts our culture.

  

  The Department has conducted “PROJECT ORIENTATION PROGRAM”, on29.01.2024(Monday).The Resource person wasDr.Ananth K.R, Head & Associate Professor, Department of AI &DS, Nandha Arts and science college,Erode. The resource person briefly explained about the Behaviour in Project Management. Around 80 students were participated in this programme.

Department of Information Technology organised the “CULTURAL  FEAST 2K23 ”, on 04.10.2023 (Wednesday)  at AbdulkalamArangam.Event such as paper presentation, Marketing , Quiz, Connection ,Solo dance, Group Dance were held and more than 80 students were participated in all events 

      The Department has conducted “ITAC FEAST 2K23 HAPPY WEEK”, celebration was started on 31.07.2023 (Monday) to 04.08.2023 (Friday). In Happy week each conducted events for other department students. At the end of happy week celebration medals and certificates were distributed to the winners.

            

 

    Department of Information Technology has organised a “FRESHERS DAY AND ITAC ASSOCIATION INAUGURATION” on 12.07.2023 for the students and above of 170 students were participated in this event. Mr. A.A. Anbarasu, Assistant Head Master, Government Higher Secondary School Kallipatti acted as resource person. He motivated students to perform well in various platforms.

         

2022-2023

Department of Information Technology conducted state level technical symposium  “HACKATHON-2K23” on 17.03.2023 (Friday). About of 250 students from various colleges in and around Tamilnadu were participated. Various events were conducted for those students such as paper presentation, Cook without fire, Mehandi, Bridal make up, Face painting, MOC-CID, Chess, Dance and MIME. 

   

The Department has conducted “ITAC FEAST 2K22 (HAPPY WEEK)”, celebration was started on 19.09.2022(Monday) to 23.9.2022(Friday).In Happy week each class carries one day and conducted events for other department students. At the end of happy week celebration medals and certificates were distributed to the winners. This happy week celebration shows the interest and cooperation with the students.

    

The Department has conducted “TEACHER’S DAY CELEBRATION”, The Function was on 05.09.2022 (Monday). Students conducted many events to their teachers and gave their respect and love to them. On behalf of IT department we have planted valuable trees. Teachers gave their valuable thoughts to their students. In this teachers day celebration shows the value of education and importance of teachers. 

  

 

2021-2022

The Department has organized  a extension activity “Save Parent” on 05.04.2022 at Mahilchi karunai illam,Chengapalli.The III-B.Sc IT students and staff members were participated in this event. On behalf of the department students and staff members provide the lunch and necessary things for old age people. 

  

The Department has organized  a special workshop on “Web development using PHP” on 30.03.2022.Ms.R.Santhiya , Technical Engineer & Trainer, Livewire , Erode acted as resource person. Totally 90 students were benefited by this programme.

  

The Department has conducted “ INTER DEPARTMENTAL MEET ”,The Function was on 16.03.2022 (Wednesday). The department has conducted many events.On behalf of Information Technology we conducted on stage events. In this inter departmental meet shows the talent and creativity of the students. Around 100 students from other Department were participated in this programme and won more prizes

   

Department of Information Technology and English Language Club, Bharathidasan College of Arts and Science, Erode have organised an “Rejuvenation of TDEF Forest” on 11.01.2022. Students gained valuable information about rejuvenation of TDEF Forest .Our chief guest Mr.K.K.Vimal Karuppannan, President of Erodu Siragugal, Mr.K.Raman, Founder of Indigenous Biodiversity Foundation, Students from our college along with staff members, NGO’S were participated in this event.

   

Department of Information Technology, Bharathidasan College of Arts and Science, Erode have conducted the “COIN COLLECTION AND EXHIBITION BY NUMISPARADISE” on 30.12.2021. The Resource Person was C.THAMARAI RAJ, CEO AND FOUNDER OF NUMISPARADISE, Erode have shared valuable information about collection of coins. Around 250 students from our college along with staff members were participated in this exhibition.

Department of Information Technology, Bharathidasan College of Arts and Science, Erode have organised  the seminar  on  “CARRER GUIDANCE  PROGRAMME ON  B THE BEST VERSION OF U” on 28.12.2021. The Resource Person was Mrs.D.Kavitha, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Application, Nandha of Arts and Science college, Erode have shared valuable information about Career Guidance.  Around 100 students from our college along with staff members were participated in this seminar.

 

Department of Information Technology, Bharathidasan College of Arts and Science, Erode have organised an “EDUCATIONAL TOUR” on 17.12.2021 to 18.12.2021.Students gained valuable information about culture and heritage of our nearby state known as the Gods own land (Kerala).  Around 93 students from our Department along with staff members were participated in this educational tour.

 

2020-2021

Department of Information Technology conducted National Level Technical E-Symposium (ITAC – 2021) through Virtual Mode.

The department conducted online quiz programme on 20.08.2021.The students from various department participated in this event.on a whole around 60 members were participated.

The department organized Speech, Poetry, and Essay Competition on 14.08.2021. The students came up with different speeches on the topic “தேசத்தில் எனது பங்கு” and recited them with great zeal and enthusiasm.

“EPIDEMICS ETHICS” on 01 MAY 2021 by 3 PM. It was a great platform for the students to know their about epidemics and its effect.  Dr.K.DHIVIYA., M.D(S),AYUSH MEDICAL OFFICER, GOVT. PRIMARY HEALTH CENTER, GAJALNAYACKANPATTI was the Chief Guest of that auspicious occasion. She gave a motivational and thought provoking speech to our students. E-Certificates were distributed to the participants through mail

The Department of  INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY organized an online webinar “MY FIRST JOB” on 06 JUNE 2020 by 11 AM. It was a great platform for the students to know their about work and its effect.  Mr. G.M.SHANAVAS, ALUMNI, BCAS, ERODE was the RESOURCE PERSON of this auspicious occasion..

2019-2020

The purpose of Fresher’s Party is to welcome new students in a friendly manner. Students of First Year (Batch: 2020-21)- students were welcomed on 25.02.21 at 2.00pm through online.

The department organized the event on 23.02.2021. This event was a huge success and was very enthusiastically participated in. Total 30 students participated in this event.

Department of IT organized Association Valedictory function on 03.03.2020. Dr.T.Rajendran, Asst professor of Computer Science, Govt arts and science college, Kangeyam. Acted as Resource person. 270 more students were participated. 

    

Our department conducted a Carnival fest on 28.02.2020 were more than 70 stalls have been placed. Each stall had different varieties of Street food, Phone Accessories, Clothing, Vintage Lunch, Fancy Items, Hot Meals, Smudge Art, Gun Shoot, PUBG, Aquarium, Juice Items, Hotel, Buzz Wire, Snap and Print and many more.   

Department of Information Technology conducted a Programme  “Photography and Short Film Contest” on 10.02.2020. The vision of the programme is to inspire students in a realistic way of capturing pictures and the Short film event  makes to show the innovative ideas in their mind set. 

Our department has partcipated in “PONGAL CELEBRATION” on 14.01.2020. Traditional decorative items, Cow, Horse, Goat and Rooster were exhibited. Traditional games like Thayam, Adupuli Attam, Kannamuchi and Nondhi were played by the Girls. Silambattam,  Mayilattam and Tug of war were played by the Boys. Our department won 1st Prize in this event as previous year.

Our Department organized a Two Days Educational Tour on 10.01.2020 and 11.01.2020 with 91 students and 4 faculty members. They visited Vagamann and Azhapula. Students had exposures about various culture, tradition and food habitation. They enjoyed the natural scenario in the God’s Own Country. 

Department of IT organized a one day seminar for the first year students on “Prospects in Multimedia” on 18.12.2019. Mr.Karthick Swaminathan, Technical Head, Bose Designers, Erode acted as a resource person.

Department of IT organized a Project orientation programme on 10.12.2019. Mr.R.Sankar , AP /IT acted as Resource person. 100 more students were participated. 

        

On this auspicious day, the students came together to seek the blessings of Almighty. Indifference of the religion all came together under one roof to celebrate this occasion. The dolls are arranged in team the celebration setting up of steps at the center of the Department as Navarathiri Golu on 04.10.2019 at 2.00 PM. The rituals where conducted by students who not only performed pooja but also enlighted on the concept of workshiping and the event ended by serving prasatham to everyone present.

Department of Information technology organized “SWACHH BHARAT SWASTH BHARAT ABHIYAAN” on 25.09.2019 at Govt. Higher Secondary School, Rayapalayam.Under this programme III year students of our department has participated. And the session finally ended with a special speech regarding “Clean India” from R.Sankar  and S.V.Manikandan, Department of Information Technology, Bharathidasan College of Arts and Science, Erode.

 

 

It was a comfortable journey since the department arranged transport was provided and at every step we were guided by our faculties who were along with students. Certain Instructions were given for us with regard to our general behaviour during the industrial visit. Our Guide was with us all through the day. We visited Mysore and Coorg on 20.09.19 and 21.09.19. The journey was very pleasant and the students enjoyed to the core. After this we boarded our bus and safely returned back to our college.

Department of Information technology organized “ Mudhiyorai Pottruvom” programme  on 06.09.2019. 50 students were visited in Erode Nadunagar Arima Sangam old age home and donate the needed things.

       

Teachers day was celebrated on 05.09.2019 by the students of Information Technology. They showed their graditude towards teacher by planting trees in and around the campus.

Department of Information technology organized a State level intercollegiate meet   “ITAC-2K19” on 30.08.2019. More than 350 students from various colleges were participated in various events. The overall champion trophy won by Kongu Arts & Science college ,Erode. 

Department of Information technology organized a “Seed Ball Festival” on 22.08.2019. More than 50 students were involved in this event. They were spread over the seeds in and around the areas of chittode . 

Department organized "CAREER OPPORTUNITIES IN IT" on 12TH JULY 2019. Mr.Ganesh Chandrasekaran, Consultant - Capital Market, Capgemini Ltd, Chennai was the chief guest for this function. He motivated the students to enrich the knowledge in IT sector.  Department organized "Papyrus (Paper Presentation)" on 12TH JULY 2019 at 2 pm. Around 120 students were participated and 17 papers were presented on various topics through power point presentation.

        

Department organized "Association Inauguration - ITAC 2019" on 04th JULY 2019. V.Karthi, Sub-Inspector of Police, Chittode was the chief guest for this function. Department organized "Swami Vivekananda memorial Day" on 04th JULY 2019. Dr.S.Karthikeyan, Assistant Professor of Tamil was delivered the special address about Swami vivekananda for this function. Department Conducted "Oratorical, Essay writing, Poetry & Drawing Competitions for Swami Vivekananda memorial Day" on 04th JULY 2019 and more than 100 students were participated.

         

 

2018-2019

Department organized a Guest Lecture program about  the topic "Prospects in Higher Learning Opportunities" on 19.02.19. Dr.Sundar raj,Assistant Professor,Department of Computer Science,Erode was the resource person of this guest lecture.

 

Our Department organized a Two Days Educational Tour and Industrial Visit on 02.01.2019 & 03.01.2019 with 84 students and 4 faculty members. They visited Munnar and Kerala.

    

Department organized "Association Inauguration - ITAC 2018" on 19^th Dec 2018. Dr.Siva Kumar, Assoicate Professor & Head, Department of Computer Applications, Park's College (Autonomous), Tirupur was the chief guest for this function.
