Womens ForumTo achieve women empowerment and strength the society

            Women’s Forum is established in the campus for women faculty members and students, to enhance understanding of issues related to women and to make the campus a safe place for them. The forum was formed with an aim to create awareness on the rights and social upliftment of the female students. The forum organizes awareness programmes by inviting eminent personalities to motivate them in all aspects. International Women’s day is celebrated every year inside the campus to promote gender parity and women’s achievements. 
Objective::
•    Develop self- confidence and personality and guiding women’s role in the society.
•    Highlighting the importance of health and hygiene.
•    Creating social awareness about the problems related to women and gender discrimination.
•    To assert the importance of spiritual, economic, social, racial and gender equality.
•    Developing multidisciplinary approach for the overall personality development.
•     Preventing sexual harassment and to promote general well-being of female students. 

2018 - 2019

IQAC  and  Women’s  Forum  of our college organized a hands on training  programme      “ Personality Development and Grooming “ for the girls students on September 30,2019.
Ms.K.A.Anjuman Bhanu , South  Zonal  Trainer, Rexona Confidence Academy, Hindustan  Unilever Ltd.,  was the resource person. She gave interview tips such as how they should prepare for the interview ahead of time, maintain confidence and eye contact throughout the interview, what type of dress they have to wear for the interviews and what type of preparation they have to do for the interviews.

     
 

YRC  and  Women’s  Forum  of our college conducted a Women’s awareness programme with the topic “This is Not End ”  for the girls students on September 19,2019.
Dr. Kavirtha Subramaniyam MBBS., DPM., Consultant Psychiatrist, Government Hospital, Anthiyur was the Chief Guest. She spoke about overcoming the problems related to depression, anxiety, psychological distress, sexual violence.

                     
 

Internal Quality Assurance Cell  (IQAC) and  Women’s  Forum  of our college conducted a programme on “International Women’s day”  for students on March 8,2019.

Dr.A.Sangamithra, Professor , Department of Economics , Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, was the Chief Guest. She  spoke on  the topic “Kanavu Meipada Vendum” and motivated the students to strive for achieving their dreams.

            

Internal Quality Assurance Cell  (IQAC) and  Women’s  Forum  of our college conducted a programme on “Nutrition for Healthy Living” for girl students on February 4,2019.

Dr.K.Kavitha , Assistant Professor , PG & Research Department of Foods and Nutrition , Vellalar College for Women , Erode was the Chief Guest. She  spoke to the girl students about the importance of proper nutrition which helps to reach the optimal health at young age. 
    

 

2017 - 2018

Women’s Forum of the college along with Jewel One, Erode had organised a competition “Woman of Tomorrow” for International Women’s Day on March 8th, 2018 inside the campus. Faculty members and girl students participated in the competition, certificates and prizes were distributed.
 
Women'’s Forum had organised a programme related to “Healthy Living” on  February 21st, 2018. Dr.P.Gomathi, Head & Associate Professor of Tamil, Nandha Arts and Science College, Erode was the chief guest. The guest inspired the girl students by awakening them on the need for women empowerment, education for every woman and protection from sexual harassment.
 

2016 - 2017

Women's Forum of the college celebrated International Women’s Day on March 8th,2017. A programme on “Women Empowerment” was also organized. The chief guests JC. N.Kokilavani M.Com., President 2013-JCI, Erode Metro, Softskill Trainer and   Rtn MPHF M.Sakthi Nallasivam, Rotary Zonal Co-ordinator, Rotary Erode Central, They spoke on the importance of education for women

A programme on “Healthy Mind and Healthy Body” was organised by the Women's Forum on January 5th, 2017. Dr.N.Maragatham, Associate Professor in Biochemistry, Vellalar College for Women, Erode was the chief guest. Professor also gave mind training practice to the girl students.

Women’s Forum had organised an awareness programme on “Improving Hygiene and Right Usage of Social Media” for girl students on July 21st, 2016. Dr.S.Selvi, Asst. Prof. & Head of Biochemistry and Dr.S.Sapna, Asst. Prof. of Computer Science, Bharathidasan College of Arts and Science, Erode were the speakers. They gave guidance to the girl students on improving personal hygiene and awareness on proper usage of social media.

2015 - 2016

Health Awareness Programme” for girl students was organised by the Women’s Forum on February 26th ,2016. Dr.Chitra Soundararaj, M.B.B.S., D.A., Medical Office, Supreme Lions Blood Bank, Erode was the chief guest. Essential health tips were given to faculty members and girl students for improving mental & physical strength.

Women’s Forum organised a “Health Awareness Programme” for girl students on February 5th, 2015. Ms.Dr.N.K.Aruljothi M.B.B.S., DNB (OBG) Sonologist, Naveena Hospital, Kavindapadi was the chief guest. The doctor gave awareness on hygiene & sanitation and healthy and complete diet.

2014 - 2015

Women’s Forum organised a programme on “Social Awareness and Counselling” for girl students on October 9th, 2014. Dr.T.S.Kavitha, M.B.B.S., DGO, S.K Hospital, Erode was the chief guest. The doctor counselled the girl students regarding protecting themselves from psychological and health problems.
